SWINDON, UK – Czech winger Jaroslav Cesky cannot wait to get his Swindon Wildcats career up and running. The 33-year-old joined his new side from the Bracknell Bees over the summer along with three other Bees players, but believes the decision was out of his hands. “It wasn’t my choice, the management decided it was time for a change – which is sometimes good” said Cesky. “I was told by (Swindon Coach) Ryan Aldrige that Pinc, Watt and Moore were going as well so that sounded great to play with these guys again. We did not play together last year on the same line so we want to be succesfull like we were two years ago” added the veteran.

Two seasons ago, Cesky scored 53 goals and 66 assists to take the English Premier League by storm. He was also named Player of the Year, and hopes to regain the form he showed at Bracknell. Michal Pinc also had a tremendous 2009-10 season. He racked up 42 goals and 67 assists – but the Bees still failed to make the playoffs. Although Cesky enjoyed his time at Bracknell, especially the support of the passionate fans – he is excited about new challenges at Swindon. “We’re aiming to make the playoffs for sure, and then we will see where we can go from there. As usual I’ve been training hard off the ice, and I’m getting reading to start the season with success.” The Wildcats kick-off their pre-season tonight (September 14) with a home game against the Slough Jets.
