The Devils carried a 1-0 lead into this game after shutting out the Giants in Belfast last Wednesday and they didn’t take long to extend their aggregate lead.  Sean Bentivoglio and Sean McMonagle set up Stephen Dixon on the powerplay to make it 1-0 at 8:48.

The Giants had a chance on the powerplay early in the second period but instead it was Masi Marjamaki finding a streaking Joey Martin who tucked the puck between Owen’s legs at 21:47 for a shorthanded goal to put the Devils up 3-0.

A poor clearing attempt stopped by McMonagle led to a blast from the defenceman that was tipped by Josh Batch for the Devils 4th on the night to lead the home side into the final period with a 4-0 lead on the night (5-0 aggregate).
