Cardiff Devils retired Neil Francis’ #29 jersey on Saturday night, honouring the Welshman’s decades-long contribution to the organisation both on and off the ice.
Devils Managing Director Todd Kelman explained simply: “That guy doesn’t put anything above the Cardiff Devils.
“Franny is the voice of reason in this organisation. That’s why me and the owners call him the ‘Fran-chise’.”
