Goals from Bayley Harewood, Joey Martin and an empty-netter from Mark Richardson saw Cardiff Devils run out 3-0 winners over Nottingham Panthers in the Devils’ final home game of pre-season.
The Panthers had not lost so far in pre-season, but were blanked by a 25-shot shutout from ben Bowns. Kevin Carr made 35 saves at the other end for Nottingham.
The Devils head to Guildford on Saturday, while the Panthers host Coventry, in what is the final exhibition game for both teams ahead of the new season starting. They face each other in Nottingham on opening night.
