QUEBEC CITY, P.Q. —Winning the night before against Charlottetown by the score of (5-4) Cape Breton completed a perfect weekend with 4-0 shutout against the Quebec Remparts on Saturday night. Registering his second shutout of regular season making 23 saves Kyle Jessiman earns the first stars, Giovani Fiore with (1g-1a) earns for his part the second stars. Former Quebec defenseman Ross MacDougall got the third stars. 
Dominating 12-3 in shots on goal in first half of the opening period in what was an offensive first period, Cape Breton was the only team getting on the board with two goals, one at even strength the other on power play. Cape Breton also led in shots on goal 13-11 after one.
Olivier Bourret was the first Screaming Eagles player to beat Quebec Evgeny Kiselev goaltender with a wrap-around backhanded shot as the puck cross the goal line along the right post with only 4:41 gone in the period.
A penalty to Quebec left winger Yanick Turcotte proved to be costly for Quebec head coach Philippe Boucher’s team. Giovani Fiore slap-shot from the slot left no chance to Quebec netminder Kiselev who was beaten on his right side at 12:16.
Cape Breton goaltender Kyle Jessiman made several key saves especially at the end of first period as his team tried to kill a penalty to Phelix Martineau. Jessiman prevented Quebec to get on board with save against Quebec defenseman Darrien Kielb.
Already ending first period playing five-on-four Quebec began the second one with one minute of power play but a penalty to Cape Breton Mathias Laferriere gave Quebec a five-on-three power play for 31 seconds. Louis-Philip Cote got great scoring opportunity but Screaming Eagles netminder Jessiman closed the door.
Playing four-on-four hockey, Dmitry Buynitskiy took advantage of a turnover to go on breakaway but he missed the top corner.
Traded to Cape Breton in last trading period in the QMJHL defenseman Ross MacDougall came back to haunt his former. McDougall shot from left face-off circle beat Quebec goalie on his right side at 7:21.
Beating Quebec defenseman Darrien Kielb for the puck, Cape Breton center Drake Batherson went on breakaway but Quebec goalie Kiselev made the save preventing the home team to add to their lead.
Trailing by three Quebec head coach Philippe Boucher pulled his starting netminder sending sixth attackers in hope of his team trying to make a comeback but instead, Cape Breton center Batherson scored Screaming Eagles fourth goals in an empty net at 17:39 of third period.
Quebec will be back home playing next three games in Videotron Center. On Wednesday night February 1 Quebec will host Victoriaville, on Friday February 3 Sherbrooke will be in town and on Saturday the 4 Quebec will host Rimouski.
