The Henderson Silver Knights fell, 4-2, to the Abbotsford Canucks on Saturday night at Lee’s Family Forum.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
With two minutes remaining in the first period, Tuomas Uronen’s first AHL goal gave Henderson a 1-0 lead. Four minutes into the middle period, Raphael Lavoie scored his first goal of the season to double the Silver Knight’s lead to 2-0. 24 seconds later, Abbotsford’s Joseph LaBate brought the Henderson lead back to a single goal. Near the end of the second period, Max Sasson tied the game for the Canucks at 2-2. Mackenzie MacEachern and Nils Aman each scored for the Canucks in the third to give them a 4-2 lead. The Abbotsford victory was secured after Henderson failed to score on a lengthy 6-on-5.
