In Montreal Sunday afternoon, Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored for the Canadiens to knot their game with the Edmonton Oilers at 3-3.
The Habs completed the rally with a goal just 58 seconds into extra time when Jonathan Drouin struck for the game-winner.

Carey Price got the win but he needed to make a flurry of saves ahead of the Drouin goal.
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, who both scored in regulation, and Darnell Nurse set up a barrage of shots on Price before the winner.
“We just didn’t connect clean,” McDavid said. “I thought we still had a chance there. The first one was a little too far in front of me; I couldn’t get to it. The second one, you know, if I maybe take a step I could get it to Leon, but [Nurse] still had a good crack at it. So they had a chance, we had a couple chances, and the last goal wins, obviously, so they were able to find it.”
Draisaitl scored twice for the Oilers.
“Carey made some unbelievable big saves there in the overtime and allowed us to come back and win that game,” Canadiens coach Claude Julien said.
The Habs got goals from Shea Weber and Max Domi in regulation and improved to 29-18-6.
Price made 21 saves to get the win.
Edmonton has lost five straight with a 0-3-2 record over that span and dropped to 23-24-5 overall.
“Two big points for us this weekend, but in my eyes it probably should have been four,” Draisaitl said. “So obviously it’s something we have to do better, closing games out and finding ways to get two points. But it’s still a big point for us.”

Mikko Koskinen made 23 saves in the loss.
“We had them frustrated,” Edmonton head coach Ken Hitchcock said. “They couldn’t get through the neutral zone, we were turning pucks over and creating scoring chances. We played one (heck) of a third period. That’s the best I’ve seen a team play for a long time. We had perfect positioning, our reloads, our checking was unbelievable. And we did a (heck) of a job. But we’ve got to have a save there.”
