“It was obviously a crazy atmosphere,” DeBrusk said. “The ups and downs and everything, the lead changes. It was a good shift by us as a line at the end there. We battled for pucks and kind of made some bang-bang plays. It went to Charlie, and I knew it was going on net. I just tried to get wide positioning.”
Jeremy Swayman made 36 saves in the Boston win.
“They caused some problems for us, especially in the first period. We were lucky to [be] down one after the first,” Boston coach Jim Montgomery said. “I thought we got our game going, but we started skating and started processing a lot quicker offensively and defensively. But mistakes happen. They made us pay for our mistakes. I just loved our compete level and how resilient we were all night.”
The Bruins improved to 44-8-5.
Seattle had taken a 5-4 lead at 15:50 of trhe third on a strike from Jaden Schwartz .
The Kraken dropped to 32-20-6.
“I thought we played a good game, honestly,” Seattle’s Matty Beniers said. “They played a good game too. I think we can build momentum off this. I mean, even though it was a loss, we did a lot of good things, offensively and defensively. So, hopefully we can take the good out of it and keep rolling.”
Beniers scored with just 40 seconds gone in the first period to give the Kraken a 1-0 lead, but David Krejci tied it, 1-1, at 11:18 of the period.

“The compete level was outstanding all the way through the game,” Seattle coach Dave Hakstol said. “There was a lot of intensity in the game, there was pace. Obviously a lot of back-and-forth, especially during the second period and then late in the hockey game.”
The Bruins’ David Pastrnak tied 66 seconds later at 2-2.
“It was a lot of fun,” Bruins defenseman Connor Clifton said. “Obviously, it kind of went off the rails a little bit. We’re not as used to those high-scoring games, [but] either way it was fun, it was electric, but we prevailed. We came out with two points, and that’s what you want.”
Boston’s Brad Marchand and the Kraken’s Jamie Oleksiak exchanged goals for a 3-3 tie.
Patrice Bergeron scored a shorthanded goal at 17:51 of the second to give the Bruins a 4-3 advantage, but on the same power play, Yanni Gourde tied the game, 4-4, headed to the third period.
