Just when you think the Boston Bruins are gassed, they find a way to get the job done.
On Friday night, the Bruins rallied with three goals in the final frame, including the game-winner from David Pastrnak with 12 seconds left in regulation, to defeat the Dallas Stars, 3-2.
“A good win for us and a good bounce-back for the road trip,” Pastrnak said.
The Bruins climbed to within four points of the Atlantic Division-leading Tampa Bay Lighting.
Tuukka Rask made40 saves to pick up the victory as the Bruins moved to 46-17-10.
Dallas has lost seven straight and are four points back of the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.
Brad Marchand and Tim Schaller also scored for the Bruins.
“When we get one we get life and we start to feel it’s dangerous,” Marchand said.
Esa Lindell and Jamie Benn scored for Dallas who need wins and points to catch the Colorado Avalanche.
“This one is a real burner,” Stars head coach Ken Hitchcock said. “We’ve got to figure out … we’ve got 48 hours to get ready to play again.”

Kari Lehtonen made 33 saves in taking the loss as the Stars fell to 38-29-8.
“It’s hard to, a lot of time, think about what just happened there and get ready to go again. That’s the name of the game,” Lehtonen said after the game.
