The New York Rangers are as inept a team as the NHL has in its league this season. Millions scattered around a roster that under performs.
On Sunday night, the Boston Bruins were the latest team to embarrass the organization in a 7-4 decision.
The four goals the Rangers scored were not much more than lip stick on a pig.
Patrice Bergeron had a hat trick for the Bruins as Boston skated at will in the second and third periods.
Brad Marchand had two goals for Boston.
“I think it’s a combination, we’re getting good bounces and [Pastrnak] and [Bergeron] are so dangerous all the time,” Marchand said. “Right now, we’re confident each night and we’re just kind of rolling it over into the next game. Hopefully, it continues.”
Jaroslav Halak made 25 saves in the win.
Charlie Coyle and Zdeno Chara also scored for the Bruins.
“We weren’t concerned at all [after the first period],” Marchand said. “We did dominate that period. They had some shots on the power play, but other than that they didn’t have much. Even their goal was a little lucky. So we knew if we continued to play the same way, we were going to break out, and we did.”
Micheal Haley, Pavel Buchnevich, Chris Kreider and Brady Skjei scored so what goals for the anemic Rangers.

Henrik Lundqvist got the start and was abused in the middle frame for four goals; he made 27 saves.
Alexandar Georgiev made nine saves in the third period in relief of Lundqvist.
The Rangers are about to become an after thought to the 2019-20 season and there is very little real reason for optimism going forward.
They might want to exchange rosters with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.
