Anton Khudobin made 27 saves to help the Bruins win their fifth in six games and bounce back from a loss the night before in Anaheim.

A night after his first loss, Bruce Cassidy was pleased with the outcome.

“It’s not easy to do in this league, play big, heavy teams back to back, and [the Kings are] a good hockey club,” said Cassidy, who took over Feb. 7 after Claude Julien was fired.

Brad Marchand, Dominic Moore and David Krejci scored for Boston as the Bruins improved to 31-24-6.

David Pastrnak broke a 11 tie in the second period to send the Bruins to the win.

“We played a strong game, and it was great for us. It’s a huge win for us,” Pastrnak said.

For the Kings, it was another night of limited offense.

Kevin Gravel scored his first NHL goal for the Kings to tie the game at 1-1 in the first period.LA has lost four of their last five games to fall four points back of the Calgary Flames for the second wild card spot.

“We really tried to make sure we had numbers coming back and did a good job of getting pucks out of the zone. They did have a few opportunities in there, but [goalie Anton Khudobin] again was very strong tonight,” Boston’s Brad Marchand said of the defensive scheme.
