CANBERRA, Australia – A night after a 10-9 decision in favor of the Melbourne Ice, the Canberra Brave returned to host the Ice in the back end of a doubleheader to win, 4-3.
Neal Prokop picked up the game-winner with just over five minutes to go in the third period when he scored to put the Brave up 4-2.
Lasse Lassen closed the gap to one less than a minute later but that was as close as the Ice would make it.
Geordie Wudrick scored two goals in the Brave win.
Much like Saturday’s match, the second period Sunday was a penalty-filled frame.
The Brave are two points back of the Newcastle North Stars and have a game in hand. They also trail the Perth Thunder by two but the Thunder have the game in hand.
