Callum Bowley will put a “difficult summer” behind him as he concentrates on winning honours with Tehe Tigers NIHL next season.
The 22-year-old, who joined Telford’s EPL side in 2011, will embark on a Masters degree in September, restricting his availability for training.
That dilemma saw Bowley take much of the summer to agree terms on a return, albeit chiefly with the club’s Moralee Conference NIHL outfit.
And with his future now secure, the forward is looking forward to the coming season in Shropshire.
He said: “This off-season has been the most difficult summer I’ve faced, after just finishing my degree and having to decide what to do next.
“It has taken a bit more time than usual to make a decision, but I am pleased to have it all sorted now. I can’t wait to be back in a Tigers shirt.
“I’m going to be studying a multi-disciplinary Masters with a major in marketing and a minor in law. It’s going to be intense, and will require a lot more time and commitment.
“I knew I wouldn’t be able to feature as much as I would like for the EPL team, which is why I have decided to fully commit to the NIHL side.”
Last season’s promotion from the Laidler Conference has seen club bosses bring in a sprinkling of new faces, as they look to compete at the higher level.
Alongside fellow EPL forward Adam Taylor, Bowley will be expected to take on a senior role in Telford’s relatively young NIHL squad.
He added: “I am excited and really looking forward to the challenge ahead. We are going to be playing in a very competitive league against a lot of good teams.
“Most of those sides will be challenging for the top spot, so we will have to play well in every game. Overall, our aim will be to win the league and play-offs.
“As one of the more experienced guys on the team, I will be looking to ensure that we meet those targets together and succeed.”
