Bottom of ladder fight for bragging rights With both sides out of the race, game is without much excitement

MELBOURNE, Australia – Melbourne Mustangs were up against the Sydney Ice Dogs, the two bottom sides on the ladder for the AIHL 2015.

The game started on a very lackluster note with little spark; it seemed no one really wanted the puck.

The Sydney Ice Dogs decided to throw their gloves onto the Mustangs players that were sitting down on the bench and tried to punch the players as well. There were multiple players that were involved and looked like a bench brawl but it was Kevin Harvey from the Sydney Ice Dogs that started it all and he was rewarded with a 2 min penalty and game for his efforts.

With less than two minutes remaining in the third, a small scuffle broke out with only one penalty being awarded.

The final score was Mustangs 8 – Sydney Ice dogs 2
