In St Louis, the Blues’ swoon is in full 4-4 time. On Monday Robin Lehner made 31 saves  in a 6-1 win for the Vegas Golden Knights over the Blues.
Tomas Nosek and Alec Martinez (first of two goals) staked the Golden Knights to a 2-0 lead.
“Coming off the last two games, one of the things we didn’t like was not putting the puck in the back of the net,” Martinez said. “We tried to create opportunities. The forwards did a really good job of getting bodies in front of the goalie. It paid dividends.”
Tyler Bozak was the lone goal scorer for the Blues, he cut the early Vegas lead to 2-1.
The Vegas response to that Blues goal was a three-goal outburst in a span of 119 seconds.
“Soft plays, coverage, things like that around our net, goals that probably should be stopped, things like that. … [The Blues players are] probably a pretty unconfident group right now when things don’t go right out there,” St. Louis head coach Craig Berube said. “Things are going to happen, goals are going to go in, you better be a lot mentally tougher than that, I’ll tell you that. That’s weak, weak-minded right now.”
William Carrier and Jonathan Marchessault also scored for Vegas.
“In the last three games, we were obviously disappointed in the offensive side,” Marchessault said. “We had a lot contributing tonight. It’s a good feeling.”
Nicolas Hague scored to give the Knights the 6-1 lead and final score.
Ville Husso got the start for St Louis and made 13 saves and surrendered five goals before getting the hook
“We had a lot of good looks early on,” St. Louis’ David Perron said. “Their goalie made some key saves, [Ivan Barbashev] had a breakaway, I think, [Jaden Schwartz] had a breakaway. I had another good look in the slot that I think hit his blocker. Those matter a lot when they don’t go in.

“We’ve got to stick together in here and find a way to regroup. I know it’s tough times right now, but that’s really what I believe.”
Jordan Binnington was sent in to mop up, he made 12 saves and yielded one goal
