In Columbus, the Blue Jackets won their third straight game with a 3-2 overtime win over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.
Pierre-Luc Dubois struck for the winner with 1:11 gone in the extra session.
Joonas Korpisalo made 23 saves in the win.
The Kings took a 1-0 lead in the game with just 42 gone in the first period when Adrian Kempe scored.
Jeff Carter scored in the middle frame to give the Kings a 2-1 lead after Zach Werenski had tied the game, 1-1.
“I’m playing with confidence right now, shooting with confidence on the power play,” Werenski said. “That [goal] maybe 15 games, I would have stopped it and walked to the middle.”
Boone Jenner‘s goal pushed the teams back to a tie and forced extra time.
“It was a scrappy game,” Kings head coach Todd McLellan said. “There were not a lot of plays made either way. Hard fought along the boards. Turnovers in the neutral zone. Faceoffs. Net play. Not a lot of flow to it.
“Obviously disappointing that we were so close and weren’t able to hold on.”

Jack Campbell made 25 saves in the loss.
“We’re starting to play to our identity and playing better within our structure. We’ve just got to keep that rolling. We can’t let this one get us down,” the Kings’ Joakim Ryan said.
