Blades take down Gladiators, 5-2

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades triumphed over the Atlanta Gladiators with a final score of 5-2 on Friday night at Hertz Arena in front of a lively sold-out crowd of 7,408 fans.

BLADES BRING DOWN GLADS 5-2 ONCE AGAIN

The Everblades surged to an early lead, establishing a 2-0 advantage in the first period. Alex Kile initiated the scoring at the 1:09 mark, with an assist from Jesse Lansdell. Subsequently, Colton Hargrove extended the lead, scoring at 15:04, assisted by Cole Moberg.

Atlanta responded in the second period when Jackson Pierson scored a power-play goal at 0:39, narrowing the gap to 2-1, but Florida then capitalized on their own power-play opportunity. Kyle Betts, with assists from Colin Theisen and Jordan Sambrook, found the net at 9:23, pushing the score to 3-1. The Everblades have power play goals in back-to-back games.

The Everblades continued to build their lead in the third period. Jesse Lansdell, assisted by Alex Kile, scored at 1:36, making it 4-1. Atlanta managed to score once more, with Ryan Francis finding the net at 11:45, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Florida’s lead. Andrew Fyten capped off the scoring with an empty netter, his 4th of season, with a final score of 5-2.

Florida demonstrated their offensive strength by outshooting Atlanta 30-25. Goaltender Will Cranley recorded 23 saves for Florida, while E. Haider made 25 saves for Atlanta.
