ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades lost a pair of games to Division rivals, the Greenville Road Warriors at the BI-LO Center.
Florida opened the scoring on both Friday (October 28th) and Saturday (October 29th) but let the Warriors shut them out both days in the third period.
Friday night (October 28th) – Florida’s Scott Pitt got the team motivated with an early short-handed goal at 08:31 of the first period. They held onto the lead until Gwinnett scored their first of the night. End of first Florida and Greenville are tied at one each.
The scoring heated up during the second period as Florida added three goals and Greenville had four. The Blades posted two power play tally’s: Alex Hutchings at 10:29 and Mike McKenzie at 11:58. Rylan Galiardi posted Florida’s third and last goal of the game at 17:37. At the end of the second Greenville leads Florida by a score of 5 to 4.
Greenville blocked the Blade’s defense and shut them out in the final period. Greenville added a pair in third. Greenville wins over Florida by a score of 7 to 4.

Saturday afternoon (October 29th) – Once again Florida opened the scoring with a power play goal by David Rutherford at) 08:31 of the opening period. Late in the , Phillip-Michael Devos added to their lead, scoring at 17:10. At the end of one, Florida leads 2-0.
Greenville came out ready to play in the second and put three tally’s on the board. Florida added a power play goal at 09:16 by Scott Pitt. The score was tied at 3-3 at the end of two periods of play.
Once again, Greenville closed out the Blades and added another insurance pair in the third. Greenville wins over Florida by a final score of 5-3.
