BASINGSTOKE UK: The Bison will be looking to extend their perfect start to their league campaign, when they face a visit from Streatham on Saturday and then they are on their travels to the Milton Keynes Thunder on Sunday.
The Herd have yet to lose to this weekend’s opponents having won twice against
Streatham and also have a brace of wins over MK.
Saturday’s game will see the annual Teddy Bear Toss as well.
British forward Ryan Sutton is expected to return from injury for the weekend, meaning the Herd will have their top nine forwards all fit for the first time in recent weeks.
Last weekend, the Bison were in National Cup action and enjoyed a 6-1 win over Bracknell, which saw Hallam Wilson grab his first brace of the season, while the Herd’s leading blue line scorer Dan Scott also netted twice. The other two goals came from imports Roman Malinik and Tomas Karpov, while the Bees lone strike came from Josh Martin.
It kept alive the Bison’s hopes of making it out of the group into the quarter-finals of the competition.
“It was great to see all three lines getting amongst the scoring against Bracknell. It was another good performance from us and we are playing well at the moment.
“I want this to continue this weekend. We have to focus first on what we are doing and if we work hard – we will continue to get results,” said Bison head coach Doug Sheppard.
