BRAMPTON, ONT – The Brampton Beast announce today that they have signed forward Jake Bricknell for the upcoming ECHL season.
Bricknell, 23, spent the past two seasons with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. The forward scored 12 goals and had 27 points over the course of 23 games. He was also able to contribute two assists through three postseason contests.
Through his two seasons with UOIT, Bricknell had 20 goals and 48 points in 51 total games.
Prior to UOIT, the Port Perry native played in the Ontario Hockey League with the Belleville Bulls, Hamilton Bulldogs and Guelph Storm.
The tough forward also spent time with the Cobourg Cougars and Aurora Tigers. With the latter, he was named the captain and went on to have 99 points in 53 games.
The gritty scorer was named an RBC Cup Champion during the 2016-17 season and followed that up by being a member of the OJHL’s First All-Star Team the subsequent season.
