Rudolfs Balcers scored with 3:45 gone in the third period — his second goal and fourth point of the night — to break a 3-3 tie and lift San Jose to a 6-3 win over Tucson in Game 2 of their Pacific Division semifinal series on Saturday night.
With the teams even at one win apiece, the series shifts to Tucson beginning with Game 3 on Wednesday.
Rourke Chartier recorded two goals and an assist and Adam Helewka and Manuel Wiederer also scored for the Barracuda, while Antoine Bibeau (1-1) finished with 22 saves.
Dylan Strome scored twice for Tucson — his second and third goals of the series — and Mario Kempe added a goal and an assist.
Adin Hill (1-1) stopped 26 shots for the Roadrunners.
