PENSACOLA – The Ice Flyers took an early 1-0 lad over the Knoxville Ice Bears on Saturday.
Dallas Comeau scored off the power play in the opening frame to stake the Ice Flyers to early advantage.
The game stayed that way until the third period when the Ice Bears rallied.
Knoxville scored twice in the third with Dean Balsamo, who hit for a double in the third, tying the game, 1-1 just past the midway point of the frame.
Balsamo scored his scored at 13:57 for a 2-1 lead, and final score.
Kristian Stead made 21 saves for the Knoxville win.
Brad Arvanitis made 25 saves in the Pensacola loss.
