Alexandria, VA: On Saturday, August 20,2022, Veteran’s Hockey United sponsored an Army vs Navy hockey day at the St. James sports complex. There were originally three games scheduled, with a Warrior division, an Elite division and a sled hockey game. Unfortunately, the sled game was canceled. The Army teams were comprised of Army and Air Force players, while the Navy teams were represented by the Navy and the Marine Corps.
The first game was the Warrior division, which was won by Navy 6-3. The second game was the Elite division, won by Army 5-0. A bagpiper played the National Anthem before the Warrior game, while Master Sergeant Caleb Green III, the anthem singer for the Washington Capitals sang the Anthem prior to the Elite game.
The games were sponsored by Veteran’s United Hockey. “Veterans Hockey United is committed to connect veteran, military, and first responder hockey players and teams.
