Americans pull away from Rapid City, earn 6-2 victory

ALLEN, texas – The Allen Americans defeated the Rapid City Rush by a score of 6-2 at the Allen Event Center.  The Americans swept the weekend series and are now 4-0 against Rapid City this season.

Dave Makowski opened up the scoring early in both the first and second periods, with the first goals in each frame.  Colby McAuley continues his hot play with a goal and an assist tonight.  But the offensive powerhouse as of late has been Brian Moore.  He extended his point streak to six games tonight with two goals and one assist.  That brings his point total to a stellar 12 in the past six games. When asked post-game about his successes, he stated, “I’ve just working hard in practice and focusing on the little things.  The more you work on those in practice the better they translate to the games.  It just comes down to working hard and trying to be involved in the plays”.

The Americans look to add to their win streak against the Kansas City Mavericks in Missouri on December 10th.
