Rasmus Sandin and Jeremy Bracco assisted on the goal. After a brief clean up, the game was underway again with the score even at one apiece. The deadlock was short lived as Tanner Kaspick restored San Antonio’s lead at 13:03. The Rampage held a one-goal lead heading into the first intermission.
Kenny Agostino notched his second of the game at 9:49 of the second period to even the score 2-2. Jeremy Bracco and Tyler Gaudet recorded the assists on Agostino’s 13th of the season. The Marlies held the Rampage to only four shots on goal in the middle frame as the score remained tied 2-2 through 40 minutes of play.
Teemu Kivihalme broke the tie early in the third period, wiring a one-timer from the point to give the Marlies their first lead of the game. Jesper Lindgren and Hudson Elynuik assisted on the eventual game winner. The Rampage put the pressure on late in the game, and brought out an extra attacker in hopes of forcing the game into overtime. Kasimir Kaskisuo was lights out in the third period, turning away 15 shots to preserve the one-goal lead as the Marlies held on until the final buzzer sounded.
