Admirals top Stars, 3-2

CEDAR PARK, Texas – There was no magic for the Texas Stars tonight as they dropped game four to a determined Milwaukee Admiral’s team 3-2. Down two goals in the third period, one only had to look back one night and ask if the Stars could pull off another miracle finish. But it wasn’t to be.
Milwaukee took full advantage of Texas penalties, scoring two power play goals in five attempts. Gabriel Bourque scored first, slamming a rebound past Stars’ goaltender Richard Bachman at 14:03 of the first period. Assists went to Roman Josi and Chris Mueller.
The Stars evened the score at 6:25 of the second period when rookie Scott Glennie sent in a rebound over Jeremy smith’s glove hand. It was Glennie’s first professional goal. He was assisted by Cody Chupp and Matt Stephenson.

Milwaukee answered six minutes later with their second power play goal of the game. Taylor Beck scored his first professional goal and was assisted by Grant Lewis and Mueller.
The Admirals took a two goal lead just 3:13 into the third period when Mark Van Guilder beat Bachman. The only assist went to Ryan Thang.
Texas tried to get back in the game with a power play goal at 8:45. Greg Rallo tipped the puck past Smith; assists going to Aaron Gagnon and Dan Spang. The Stars went one for four on the power play.
The win allowed the Admirals to regain home ice advantage and forces a game six in Milwaukee next Monday. The pivotal game five will be played Friday night at the Cedar Park Center in Texas.
