Admirals fall to Moose in Overtime

Milwaukee, WI—Nick Baptiste scored the Admirals only goal as the team earned a point in a 2-1 OT loss to the Manitoba Moose on Tuesday night. The point extended the Milwaukee’s point streak to five games (4-0-1).

Green Bay native Mason Appleton scored the game-winning goal for Winnipeg at the 2:06 mark of the overtime period.

After a scoreless first period both of the game’s goals in regulation were scored during the sandwich stanza. Manitoba opened the scoring Sami Niku scored a pretty goal to give the Moose at 1-0 lead at the 10:13 mark of the second.

However, Nick Baptiste tied the score for the Admirals with a power-play marker with just under six minutes to play in the sandwich frame. Stationed in front of the Manitoba net, Emil Pettersson fired a shot from the left point that hit Baptiste in the chest and fell to the crowd where he swatted it past goalie Mikhail Berdin.
