Milwaukee, WI–This one definitely wasn’t out of a fairy tale as the Admirals dropped a 5-2 decision against the Bakersfield Condors on Friday night in front of 11,281 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in the team’s final regular season home game in the building built through the generosity of the former owner of the team Jane Bradley Pettit.
Things started well enough for Milwaukee as Pontus Aberg fired a one-timer for his 25th goal of the season mid-way through the first period to give the Ads a 1-0 lead.
However, Bakersfield scored five of the next six goals in the game to bring an end to the Admirals team record tying 13-game point streak and seven game winning streak.
In addition, it was first home loss in regulation for Milwaukee since February 24th and it was just the second loss for Ads All-Rookie goalie Juuse Saros since January 9th.
Max Reinhart scored Milwaukee’s other goal, his 23rd tally of the year.
