Admirals brush off rust in pre-season

weekend’s two games marked the first exhibition games played at home in the AHL Admirals history and it didn’t take long for the crowd to realize that the Admirals came to play hard and win.  
Friday, the Admirals took the game with a final score of 4-3. Riku Helenius got the win, stopping 29 out of 32 shots.  Zenon Konopka, Brandon Bochenski, Justin Fletcher and Brandon Segal all scored goals for the Admirals, while Michael Ratchuk, Jonathan Matsumoto and Boyd Kane each netted one for the Phantoms. 
  Saturday saw the Admirals second victory with a 7-1 win over Philly.  Returning Admiral; Brandon Segal, got a hat trick plus an additional goal,

scoring four out of the seven goals for Norfolk, frustrating Phantom net minder; Machael Teslak. Admiral goalie Mike McKenna stopped 31 out of 32 shots securing the win.

Bears come to town to play back to back games against the Norfolk Admirals, who begin there regular season.  Official puck drop is Friday, Oct 10th at 7:15 in the Norfolk Scope Arena.
