STATELINE, Nev. – The Tahoe Knight Monsters, ECHL Affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vegas Golden Knights and the American Hockey League’s Henderson Silver Knights announced that the team has agreed to terms with veteran center Luke Adam for the 2025-26 season. 
Adam, 35, returns for a second season with Tahoe after posting 39 points (17g-22a) in 70 games with the Knight Monsters last season. In addition, he added three points (1g-2a) in eight postseason appearances.
Prior to his time with the Knight Monsters, Adam spent the previous eight seasons abroad. He played seven seasons in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) from 2016-23, and split time in 2023-24 with H5 Plzeň in Czechia and HC Banska Bystrica in Slovakia. In that 2023-24 season, he played 28 games and totaled 15 points (5g-10a).
Adam was selected in the second-round (44th overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He played parts of four seasons with the Sabres and racked up 26 points (15g-11a) in 86 games. He also played four games with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2014.
At the AHL level, Adam has played with the Portland Pirates, Rochester Americans, Springfield Falcons and Hartford Wolf Pack. Through 342 AHL games, the St. John’s, Newfoundland resident scored 232 points (105g-127a). In 2010 with the Pirates, he was awarded the AHL Rookie of the Year after a 62-point season.
In total, Adam has appeared in nearly 850 professional games during his career from 2015-25.
