Scardina joins Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s San Jose Sharks and American Hockey League’s San Jose Barracuda, announced the signing of forward Ethan Scardina for the 2026-27 season.

Scardina, 25, begins his second season as a pro. A native of South Surrey, British Columbia, he played his rookie campaign last year in Atlanta, tallying nine points (3g-6a) in 65 games.

Prior to turning pro, he played five seasons at Bowling Green State University, serving as captain during his senior year. He collected 58 points (30g-28a) in 143 career games for the Falcons.

Scardina spent his junior career in the British Columbia Hockey League with the Vernon Vipers, Cowichan Valley Capitals and Nanaimo Clippers. He was named team captain in his final junior season with the Clippers and finished with 129 points (62g-67a) in 153 career junior games.
