GLENVIEW, Ill.–The Chicago Wolves announced Monday that captain Josiah Slavin has re-signed with the team, inking a two-year, one-way American Hockey League contract.

The 2026-27 AHL season, which begins when the defending Western Conference champion Wolves travel to Manitoba to face the Moose on Oct. 3, will mark Slavin’s third with the club.
Josiah Slavin: “My family and I love the organization, we love the team, we love the coach (Spiros Anastas)–we love everything about it. There’s nothing but excitement to come back.”
The 27-year-old Erie, Colo., native was named the 17th captain in franchise history in October of 2024 and will wear the “C” on his sweater during the ’26-27 campaign.
During the 135 games over his first two seasons with the Wolves, Slavin has 18 goals and 28 assists. In ’25-26, the forward had six goals and 19 assists in 69 regular-season contests and added three goals and four assists during the Wolves’ 21-game run in the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs.
