The University of Wisconsin commit scored his first goal of the season in the first half of the second period before adding an assist minutes later as the Capitols jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Brink is in his first full season with the team after appearing in a game for both the Capitols and USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP) last season amidst a terrific season for Maple Grove High that saw him record 60 points (29-31-60) in 31 appearances.

Defenseman of the Week: Will Skahan, USA Hockey NTDP (Woodbury, Minnesota)

Skahan made an immediate impact with his new team last weekend, scoring a goal on Friday night in an eventual 8-3 loss to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. The following night, the University of Wisconsin commit was pivotal in a 6-3 win over the RoughRiders, picking up a trio of assists, with one in the first and a pair in the middle frame. Goaltender of the Week: Anton Castro, Fargo Force (Mendota Heights, Minnesota)

Castro was nearly perfect for the Force on Friday night, backstopping the team to a 4-1 win over the Green Bay Gamblers and allowing just one goal on 40 shots he saw. The Boston University commit earned his first win of the season in his second appearance of the season, bringing his 2022-23 stat line to a 1.51 goals against average and 0.949 save percentage in two appearances (1-1-0-0). Early this season, Castro ranks in the top-10 of both goaltending categories.
