2012 CHL All-Star Team Reserves Announced

GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Central Hockey League has announced the 13 reservists that will play for the CHL All-Star team in the 2012 CHL All-Star Game scheduled for Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Prescott Valley, Arizona at Tim’s Toyota Center.  The game’s format will feature the home team (Arizona Sundogs) taking on a team of CHL All-Stars. The reserves were selected by the CHL All-Star Head Coach Dwight Mullins (Allen Americans) in conjunction with the CHL Hockey Operations Department.   2012 CHL All-Star Team Reserves Position- Player (Team, Appearance) Forward – Alex Bourret (Wichita, 1st)        Forward – Andrew Courtney (Missouri, 1st)      Forward – Aaron Lee (Rio Grande Valley, 1st) Forward – Brett Lutes (Dayton, 1st)      Forward – Todd Robinson (Evansville, 1st) Forward – Brett Smith (Fort Wayne, 1st) Defenseman – Aaron Dawson (Bloomington, 1st) Defenseman – Matt Gens (Evansville, 1st) Defenseman – Dylan King (Allen, 1st) Defenseman – Adam Rivet (Laredo, 3rd) Defenseman – Riley Weselowski (Rapid City, 2nd)      Goaltender – Marco Cousineau (Allen, 1st) Goaltender – Mark Guggenberger (Texas, 1st) Of the reserves, only Laredo’s   Adam Rivet   and Rapid City’s   Riley Weselowksi   have all-star experience. This year’s team is a mix of young players along with some veterans with Allen’s   Dylan King   (21-years-old) being the youngest and Texas’   Mark Guggenberger and Allen’s   Marco Cousineau   closely following at 22-years-old. Guggenberger (7-3-2, 2.36 GAA) and Cousineau (10-1-2, 2.55 GAA) are the reserve goaltenders while Bloomington’s   Aaron Dawson , Evansville’s   Matt Gens , Rivet, Weselowski and King are the reserve defensemen. The reserve forwards are Wichita’s   Alex Bourret , Missouri’s   Andrew Courtney , Rio Grande Valley’s   Aaron Lee , Dayton’s   Brett Lutes , Evansville’s   Todd Robinson   and Fort Wayne’s   Brett Smith . The six starters were announced on Wednesday and with five players making their CHL All-Star debuts. The starters are forwards Jesse Schultz   (Rapid City),   Brandon Marino   (Quad City) and   Bruce Graham   (Allen), defensemen   Andrew Martens   (Wichita) and   Jeff Terminesi   (Tulsa) and goaltender   Nick Boucher   (Fort Wayne).
