2011 NHL Mock Draft announcement

READING, PA – Well hockey fans, the hockey season is coming to an end soon. June is almost here and with it the end of hockey but also the beginning of the new season with the 2011 NHL Entry Draft to be held this year in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 24-25 at the Xcel Energy Center.
This year’s draft will hold more intrigue than normal without a superstar such as Sidney Crosby or Steven Stamkos. That said the draft will be fun if nothing else just to see who will go first.
As usual, PHN will be holding our mock draft beginning Monday May 30th which involves PHN staff members and perhaps a special guest or two from around the NHL. The first question that should involve the draft will be what the Edmonton Oilers do with the first pick in the draft. Last year it was Taylor vs. Tyler. This year there are three players that could go first overall but realistically there are only two players that most likely will hear their names called when Kevin Lowe steps to the podium: Center Ryan Nugent Hopkins or defenseman Adam Larsson.
Want to hear who we think your team picks? Well you won’t have to wait must longer to find out. Come back on the 30th and follow our mock draft. Do you think you can predict who each pick will be? Send me your picks to Brian.Jennings@prohockeynews.com and put 2011 MOCK DRAFT in your subject line.
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
