USHL week in review

PAPILLION, NEBRASKA – The USHL West Division saw a slight movement in the standings this week.  Sioux Falls moved past Tri-City for second place, two points behind Omaha.  The Lancers have been the leagues strongest team of the season losing only one game.  The Tri-City Storm lost a little traction from their hot start this week going 1-2-0.  Led by USHL points leader Jaden Schwartz, the Storm offer plenty of abuse to opposing goalies with their high shots on goal average.  Despite their ability to amass shots, Tri-City is winning games on the strength of their special teams play; the Storm rank fourth in the USHL in penalty kills and fifth in power play scoring.
West Division Standings Omaha, 20 pts (10-1-0) Sioux Falls, 18 pts (8-1-2) Tri-City, 15 pts (7-3-1) Fargo, 12 pts (6-5-0) Des Moines, 10 pts (5-7-0) Lincoln, 8 pts (4-9-0) Sioux City, 7 pts (3-7-1)
