Cincinnati Cyclones.Stockton Thunder president Dan Chapman announced that former Fresno Falcon head coach Matt Thomas has been named new Head Coach of the Thunder.
Last season Cichocki posted a 36-point improvement in the standings for the Thunder with strong play at both ends of the ice. But this season has been a disappointment for the club with a 10-17-2-2 record and 24 points. The team is in last place in the Pacific Division of the National Conference. The Thunder have lost their 5 matches and won only two of their last ten.
Cichocki is the second head coach fired this week in the “AA” ranks. The Tulsa Oilers of the CHL fired head coach Dan Hodge and replaced him with GM Taylor Hall on an interim basis. More details to follow.
