CEDAR PARK, Texas –The Stars will hold a pre-game ceremony and raise the 2009-10 Western Conference Championship banner to the rafters of Cedar Park Center. The ceremony will take place prior to the 7:00 pm faceoff with the San Antonio Rampage. Last June, the Stars fell two wins shy of the first Calder Cup in team history, losing to the Hershey Bears in six games. The 2010-11 Stars roster includes 15 players from the 2009-10 championship squad.
As part of the Opening Night festivities on Saturday, October 16th, Cedar Park Center will host the 101X tailgate party from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on the southeast lawn outside of the building. Fans may purchase $3.00 12 oz Bud Light drafts. The Texas Stars Ice Girls will be on hand along with the Bud Girls. Bud Light will also provide interactive games for all fans, while 101X supplies the music for the tailgate party.
Texas will host the first regular season home game on Saturday, October 16th at 7:00 pm against San Antonio. The first 5,000 fans receive a Texas Stars 2010 Western Conference Championship mini banner.
