Telus three stars of the week in QMJHL

QUEBEC CITY , P.Q. — The QMJHL announced the winners of the Telus three stars of the week for February 6th to February 12th. By their respective performance the Halifax netminder Zachary Fucale, the Saint John Sea Dogs left winger Jonathan Huberdeau and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles center Jonathan Brunelle earned QMJHL three stars.
 
With 143 saves in 4 games with an average of 34 shots per game and a save percentage of .0958 the first star went to Halifax Moosehead goaltender Zachary Fucale.
 
The Halifax netminder earned the second star of the game after making 35 saves against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. Playing against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens the Rosemere Quebec native, had been selected the second stars blocking 32 shots in a 4-1 wins last Friday.
 
In his next game against the Shawinigan Cataractes, the one who shows a saving percentage of .0893 and a goaltending average of 3.13 allowed only 3 goals on 41 shots in a losing effort 4-1. Last but certainly not least, in a 2-1 shootout wins against the Victoriaville Tigres last Sunday, the goaltender made 32 saves being named the first stars of the game.
 
The second star went to Saint John Sea Dogs left winger Jonathan Huberdeau. Collecting the game winning goal in both of his team games during the week, the Florida Panthers first round selection (18th overall in 2009), saw 9 of his 10 shots on goal been considered scoring opportunities. In 5-0 win against the Prince Edward Island Rocket on last Saturday, the St-Jerome, Quebec native earned first star of the game scoring 3 goals and an assist.
 
In a 7-2 win against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan the next day, Huberdeau scores another goal adding another assist.
 
The third star went to Cape Breton Screaming Eagles center Jonathan Brunelle totaling 8 points (3 goals 5 assist). Playing against the Gatineau Olympiques the Screaming Eagles center registered two assists. On Saturday, against the Val-d’Or Foreurs he ended the game with a goal and two helpers earning the second stars. Ending his week facing the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Sunday, Brunelle scored 2 goals adding an assist.
