Steelheads drop Wranglers, 4-1 Vegas puts season-high 50 shots on net in the loss

LAS VEGAS – The Idaho Steelheads won 4-1 over the Las Vegas Wranglers tonight, taking both games from the home team in a two-game weekend series.

 Steelheads forward Mitch Wahl posted his tenth goal of the season 8:30 into the first, giving Idaho the 1-0 lead. The score carried into the second, and Steelheads forward Brett Robinson tallied the lone goal of the period.

 Up 2-0, Idaho capitalized on two power plays early in the third period. On the 5-on-3 man advantage, Steelheads forward David de Kastrozza scored at the 2:54 mark, and 50 seconds later, Robinson collected his second goal of the game on a 5-on-4 power play.

Wranglers left wing Adam Hughesman broke up the 4-0 shutout with a goal in the final 55 seconds, but the Steelheads nabbed the 4-1 victory.

In the loss, the Wranglers made a season-high 50 shots on net.
