Steeldogs sign former Steeler

SHEFFIELD, U.K.- The Sheffield Steeldogs have signed Sheffield born forward, Danny Wood, who played 17 games for the Steelers in the EIHL this season.
Wood flew through the Sheffield academy ranks, playing for the U19s Sheffield Steelhawks at the age of 14 in 03/04, and securing a total of 74 goals in 43 games during his time playing for the U16s Sheffield Rapiers.
Wood also played three games for the Steelers in the season of 04/05.
The 23 year old then moved to the USA, where he played in numerous American leagues such as the EJHL, MIAC and NAHL.
Wood will make his debut for the Steeldogs against Swindon Wildcats on Tuesday Dec. 4.
