SHEFFIELD, U.K.- Sheffield born forward, Lloyd Gibson, has re-signed for the Steeldogs in what will be his seventh season playing for a Sheffield side in the EPL.
Having played in Sheffield since the age of 8 and making his EPL debut at 16, Gibson has played at various levels for teams such as the Rapiers, Scorpions, Steelhawks, Spartans and the Scimitars.
Gibson has also represented Great Britain at junior levels and in the U20’s.
The Sheffield forward was an important asset for the Steeldogs last season, recording 10 goals and 15 assists in 51 games.
Steeldogs owner, Shane Smith, was thrilled to see Gibson back for another season, “ Lloyd has worked hard over the last season, on and off the ice, and it can be seen in his game.”
“He has become a strong physical utility player and is dedicated to winning”.
Head coach, Andre Payette, said, “ I am really happy to have Lloyd back, one of our leaders on the team and gives 100% every night”.
