Steeldogs’ Jekyll and Hyde weekend

SHEFFIELD, U.K.- The Steeldogs only managed to secure two points out of a possible four in their double home fixture weekend, after losing 8-0 to Slough Jets before fighting back to beat league leaders, Basingstoke Bison, 5-4.

The Slough Jets found themselves 5-0 up against the Steeldogs after less than 16 minutes on Saturday Feb. 9.

Frantisek Bakrlik gave the Jets their lead after just 18 seconds. Two goals from Darius Pliskauskas at 2:57 and 13:28 increased their lead to three. The latter of Plisakauskas’ goals was scored on the PP while Steeldogs, Ben Morgan, sat out a cross-checking minor.
