The Royals are in first place with 41 points, five more than second place Elmira and is one of only four teams that have over 40 points.  The team has gone 7-2-1 in their last ten games and is unbeaten in their last five. The Royals are only seven points behind the league leaders the Greenville Road Warriors, who have 48 points.    T he Royals have compiled a record of 19-5-1, for their best record over a twenty-five game span in the ten year history of the team. Most of their success is winning the close games. Reading is 11-1-1 when leading after two periods; they have a record of 12-2-1 when scoring first, which leads the league. The Royals have played thirty games so far this year, and 19 have been decided by one goal, making them 14-4-1 in those games. On offense, Ben Gordon is currently riding a three game goal scoring streak and has 42 career goals in 98 regular season games with the Royals. He is fourth on the all-time goal scoring list, two behind Brock Hooton. Gordon’s 115 points (42g-73a) is eight behind Graig Mischler, for third all time. Gordon leads Reading with 101 shots this year, giving him 358 shots, good for third in Royals history.
