For the first time this season, the Reign were kept off the board. Two full periods passed them by without a name on the scoreboard and it took until 9:51 into the third period before the Grizzlies first lit the lamp.

In the third period, Channing Boe took a shot on net but it came loose for Rylan Galiardi to swat at and score stick-side on Mathias Niederberger breaking the stalemate between the two teams. Mathieu Aubin earned the secondary assist on the goal. Kris Hogg and T.J. Battani had a two-on-one opportunity from the Reign blue line.
