Stockton’s Brayden Irwin got the first goal of the night with a snap shot from the right wing off a give-and-go play with Landon Oslanski. Moments later what appeared to be a goal from Dan DaSilva was waived off as Thunder goaltender Parker Milner was able to get his glove on the puck before it crossed the line.

The second frame began with a fight between Mike Towns and Garet Hunt who measure in at 6-foot-4 and 5-foot-9 respectively. At 13:30 Yasin Cisse evened the score with a quick goal on Milner. Brett Beebe sent a backdoor pass to an incoming Cisse who wristed it in tying the game 1-1. Derek Couture gave Ontario the 2-1 lead less than four minutes later. Adrian Van de Mosselaer and Eric Springer joined Couture as they broke through the Reign zone. Van de Mosselaer sent a cross-ice pass to Springer who knocked it back to Couture in the slot who ripped a shot past Milner at 17:03.

Reign rookie Matt White gave Ontario a two-goal lead in the final period with a laser from the right circle. DaSilva and Jake Newton earned the assists on the power-play tally. Moments later, at 9:26, Newton got on the scoresheet again this time in the goal column. The defensemen sent a deflected puck past Miler to give Ontario a 4-1 lead. DaSilva also earned his second point of the game with an assist and Cameron Burt recorded the secondary helper.

Michael Hutchinson extended his unbeaten streak to seven games stopping 15 of 16 shots; Milner was peppered with shots by the Reign and allowed four goals on 49 shots.
