QUEBEC CITY, P.Q. — With 32 saves, Quebec goaltender Francois Brassard registered his first shutout of the playoffs helping his team to a 4-0 win over the Chicoutimi Sagueneens pushing their opponent to the verge of elimination next Friday in Quebec. Beside Brassard, Mikhail Grigorenko (1g-1a) and defenseman Martin Lefebvre with two assists led Quebec offence.

Tying his personal record with a goal in a third consecutive game Nick Sorensen scored his sixth goal of the playoff on a perfect pass from teammate Adam Erne with 14:37 remaining in the first period.

Running at 25% efficiency (4-in-16) the Chicoutimi power play raking 7th overall got three chances to tie the game but thanks to Brassard who was very efficient making all 17 saves helped Quebec prevent the home team of breaking the ice.

Beginning the second period playing four-on-four following penalty to Quebec defenseman Jeremy Beaudry and Chicoutimi forward Charles Hudon neither team was able to take advantage.images[1]
