Price given the nod for game four

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Carey Price will be looking to seize a rare opportunity in game four of Montreal’s clash with Washington. Price stopped 21 shots during Mondays third game, after reliving Jaroslav Halak with the Habs trailing 3-1 and will start the pivotal match-up at the Bell Center as Jacques Martin looks to get his side back into the series. Montreal stole game one, in Washington, thanks largely to Halak and Thomas Plekanec’s overtime goal. But the President’s Trophy winners struck back in game 2 with an overtime win of their own before hammering the storied Canadian side 5-1 in their own rink to take a 2-1 series lead. Halak had been in superb form for the Canadiens going into the play-offs and looked unbeatable at times during the first two encounters, despite Washington possessing one of the most potent offensive line ups in the NHL. But his stumble on Monday has allowed Price a chance to improve on his somewhat unspectacular 5-10 play-off record. Washington, meanwhile will be hoping Alexander Ovechkin continues to prosper after a disappointing opening to the series. Ovechkin was held without a single shot in game one, but has since scored 2 goals and 5 points to help the Caps pick up their first two wins of the 2010 play-offs.
