Power Play Break speaks with New Jersey hockey veteran Jim Dowd Part One of three-part series

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ – The Power Play Break has been a hit with our readers since we started sharing the interviews and features from Chris Riley and Ricky O. Last week we posted the special Asphalt Avengers video to great interest from PHN’s reader base. Power Play Break

This week Chris and Ricky focus on New Jersey NHL veteran Jim Dowd. A Jersey native, Dowd was drafted by the Devils and went to an outstanding career in the league.

His early career is discussed in this first installment when he played in Montclair High School in Jersey. He set a high school record for scoring with 175 points.

He grew up in Brick Township (an old haunt of this writer) and talks about his move from high school to college and tournament team in Chicago.

This is an entertaining look into the life and early career of a New Jersey standout.

Enjoy.
