Gerbe opted for Boston College for his college career.

Riley and Gerbe talk about the benefit of having played for Jerry York, head coach of the BC hockey program.

“It was about learning peoples’ names and knowing the background of the game and the people who put the games on,” Gerbe said.

Gerbe won the NCAA national championship in his third year at Boston College.

The family atmosphere in BC was important for Gerbe as he and Riley discuss at the end of this segment.
